WHAT SERVICES DO WE OFFER?

  • Our traditional chain skips range from a Mini to a Jumbo (Small Maxi, Maxi and Jumbo’s are reserved for commercial customers only)
  • We offer Roll on Roll off skips, traditional reserved for larger commercial projects. They range from 20 cubic yard to 60 cubic yard.
  • We also offer a man and van service. These are great for jobs, where a sited skip just won’t do. The price includes two operates that, will do all the lifting and shifting for you.
  • Syrus also specialises in the transportation and disposal of Hazardous waste.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I BOOK THE SERVICE?

  • You will receive a confirmation of booking email, along with all of our terms of use. Which will out line all the details you need to know.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE IS RIGHT FOR ME

  • There is a description of the quantity that each skip can hold on our Skip Hire page, or give the office a call on 01902 239040

WHAT CAN'T I PUT IN THE SKIP?

  • We do not accept anything ….
  • Hazardous (unless agreed in writing)
  • With an Odour
  • Asbestos (unless agreed in writing)
  • Carpet
  • Gypsum
  • Tyres

HOW LONG CAN I KEEP THE SKIP?

Our standard hire period is 14 days, unless agreed in writing.

WHERE CAN THE SKIP BE PLACED?

  • The skip can be placed on the private property of the hirer.
  • If the skip is to be placed on anyone else’s property that isn’t the hirer, permission is to be obtained by the hirer.
  • If the skip needs to be placed on a public highway, a permit must be obtained prior to delivery (we will arrange this for you)

CAN THE SKIP BE PLACED OVER A WALL?

  • Skips can be placed over small walls. This must be specified at the time of booking, to ensure the correct vehicle is assigned to the job.
  • If we are not informed, a wasted journey may apply.

WHAT IF A THIRD PARTY IS BLOCKING ACCESS?

  • It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that the area is clear and ready for the delivery/ exchange or collection of a skip.
  • If there is no access, a wasted journey charge may apply.

DO I NEED TO BE IN FOR THE DELIVERY/ EXCHANGE?

  • If payment has already been made and the movement is simple, with no special instructions. We can complete the job, without you there.
  • Please note, if you allow us to do this and any damage is caused, during the completion of the job, we will not take liability.

DO I NEED TO BE IN FOR THE COLLECTION?

  • No, you just need to ensure that the skip is level loaded and accessible.
  • If we are unable to collect the skip, a wasted journey fee may apply.

HOW MUCH CAN I FILL THE SKIP?

  • The skip can be filled up to the fill level, which is the top of the skip. We will not accept board placed at the side of the skips, to increase capacity. The waste must finish were the metal of the skip finishes.
  • If we arrive at the skip and it is loaded past the fill point, the collection will be refused and a wasted journey fee may be applied.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE COLLECTION FAILS?

  • If the collection fails, due to access issues, overloading or any fault of the hirer, a wasted journey maybe applied and this must be paid, prior to the the collection is reattempted.
